Find the organisation that fits your enquiry
One Can Trust is a local food-bank charity with its office and store on Duke Street. Wycombe Homeless Connection provides support through its own team at Oakley Hall on Castle Street. Their websites explain current routes to help, donations and volunteering.
Use the organisation’s own contact details and describe what you need. Check referral, appointment and donation arrangements before visiting; an office address does not mean every service operates as a drop-in. The directory can help you identify the right team, while that team confirms what is currently available.
Support for wellbeing
Wycombe Mind runs local mental-health and wellbeing activities from its Recovery Centre and other venues. Its own information is the place to check current groups, eligibility and how to make a first enquiry. A directory profile is a starting point for contact, not an assessment of anyone’s needs.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For other support, use the relevant organisation’s current service information and explain your circumstances privately through its own contact route. Avoid posting personal or medical details in a public business listing.
Places to meet and take part
Hilltop Community Centre on Crest Road, Cressex Community Centre on Cressex Road and Hazlemere Sports Association offer different local settings for activities and meetings. Hazlemere’s sports facilities are based at the recreation ground on Amersham Road, outside the main town centre.
For a class or club, ask about age groups, experience, membership and equipment. For a hall booking, explain the activity, likely numbers and date, then check access, catering and the full hire conditions. Contact the actual venue rather than assuming facilities are shared across the area.
Offer help that a local team can use
Volunteering can involve regular hours, a particular skill or occasional practical support. Ask what the organisation currently needs and whether training, references or checks are required. This helps it match your offer to a useful role.
Local businesses may also be able to offer materials, space or services. Agree the practical details with the organisation before collecting goods or announcing a partnership. An accurate community listing, with a clear website and phone number, helps people make that first conversation.
